Adventure at a High Price on Mercedes Sprinter 4×4
A Mercedes 419 nearly 7 meters long, rarely used in the camper van universe.
We knew glamping, less so the glampervan, a neologism born from the combination of glamour and camper van. The Slovenian brand Robeta adopts this concept with the Ananya, an experimental model on a Mercedes Sprinter 4×4 419. It will be unveiled in its final version in January 2026, but orders are already open: €225,000 per unit!
The Ananya model, presented as the world's first "GlamperVan", is an ambitious, unconventional, resolutely high-end project, developed and championed by the Slovenian company Robeta. Free from the usual compromises, it aims to offer new solutions, some of which still require in-depth studies, such as the large roof skylight (skywindow), directly inspired by the Webasto 40-Series sunroof. "It's not just about making an opening in the roof, but rewriting the rules, pushing boundaries and finding a way to bring the outdoors in like never before" specifies the Robeta brand.
The name "Ananya", of Sanskrit origin, sets the course. It would mean "without equal" or "the one who brings light to darkness". Nothing less.
A large corner lounge topped by a 171 x 185 cm overhead bed. Without being revolutionary, the Ananya rewrites the interior layout by playing with luxury codes.
The Ananya model prioritizes a large living space, luxurious and natural materials, and a deliberately refined and soft design. Underfloor heating extends over the entire surface and guarantees constant warmth, regardless of outside temperatures.
The bathroom plays on contrasts and mixes smooth materials, including a waterproof micro-cement coating on the walls, and the natural wood trunk on which the stone basin is placed. Pebbles also line the shower floor, offering both visual and functional interest (massage). Tender feet should abstain.
For the toilet, the choice falls on a nautical model, specially designed for small spaces. It consumes 0.5 to 2.7 liters per flush, has an integrated recovery system for treatment and includes an electric valve for black water evacuation.
Unusual equipment and materials have been selected.
The kitchen is not only larger than that of standard vans, but it surpasses in its dimensions those of many student apartments. The kitchen is equipped with a Corian® Sand Storm worktop, a pleasant, neutral surface that resists stains and scratches. This same durable material is found on the table placed near the sofa, a true centerpiece. This is not just any sofa, but an L-shaped sofa that extends nearly two meters long in both directions, with a depth of eighty centimeters! In short, comfort accepts no compromise. You can lounge there for a long time, before sitting up to have lunch.
Power and ease of use have guided the technical choices. The designers claim they can guarantee more than 6 days of autonomy, thanks to the EcoFlow 10 kWh modular system, a 48V power solution. "We chose it because adventures shouldn't come with a manual: one system, four charging methods, no complications". The system is connected to two 450W solar panels.
You can't go away for long without washing your clothes. No problem. The Ananya carries a washer/dryer. With a weight of 17 kg, dimensions of 35 cm deep and 58 cm wide, it washes up to 3.3 kg of laundry and dries up to 1.5 kg. It is silent, efficient and uses the onboard hot water.
Technical Specifications:
A large kitchen complemented by a 130L refrigerator.
A first edition of 5 vehicles would be on the program, at a price of €225,000 per unit. According to Robeta, the objective would be to later launch a more accessible model.
In summary, Ananya positions itself as an experimental van, free from the usual compromises: a large living space, lots of light, luxurious materials, with a design conceived to make the cabin a pleasant place, regardless of the duration of the trip.
Sunroof directly inspired by Webasto's boat sunroofs. A seductive idea on paper, but the structural constraints seem heavy.
This luxury glampervan represents the ultra-high-end segment of the van conversion market, showcasing innovative design solutions and premium materials at a correspondingly premium price point
