ROBETA D.O.O. ANNOUNCES A RECALL:
all motorhome models manufactured by ROBETA d.o.o. between 2020 and 2026 with an installed ISOFIX anchorage system
Product identification
Motorhome manufacturer ROBETA d.o.o., Pohorska cesta 6B, Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, is recalling all motorhomes manufactured by ROBETA d.o.o. between 2020 and 2026 that are equipped with an ISOFIX child seat anchorage system manufactured by Aguti Produktentwicklung & Design GmbH, article number 119376 or 120407.
The ISOFIX anchorage system is integrated into the rear seat of the motorhome. Check the article number on the label on the bracket, as shown in the photograph.
The vehicles were sold by Robeta d.o.o. and through all of its authorised dealers.
Why is this product dangerous?
On some ISOFIX anchorage systems, the weld at the anchorage points may be inadequate. In the event of a rear-end collision or another traffic accident, the welded joint may break, meaning that the ISOFIX anchorage system may not provide its intended function. This may increase the risk of injury.
What to do
STOP USING THE ISOFIX ANCHORAGE SYSTEM TO SECURE A CHILD SEAT IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN INSPECTED.
The issue is limited exclusively to the ISOFIX anchorage system. All other vehicle functions remain fully operational. Until the test has been carried out, the motorhome may be used normally for driving and accommodation, but the ISOFIX anchorage system must not be used to install a child seat.
Further instructions for inspecting (and, if necessary, replacing) the ISOFIX anchorage system will be provided as soon as possible and will also be published on the website of the manufacturer, Robeta d.o.o.
Solution
We ask all owners or users of affected motorhomes to arrange and undergo a free conformity test of the installed ISOFIX anchorage system after receiving the additional instructions. Until then, the ISOFIX system must not be used. Testing is expected to be available at the premises of the manufacturer Robeta d.o.o. or at authorised dealers or service centres. If the inspection determines that the installed ISOFIX system is not compliant, it will be replaced free of charge.
